Monday 24th November 2016 - Notre Dame des Anges

Today we have got up veeeeeery early because we had to meet at 6:15 at the airport of Girona. Almost everybody was on time, but we didn't have to wait much. Once waiting for the plane, we have had time fora 'Maniqui challenge'.

The flight to Eindhoven has been good, a few turbulences but too much excitement for the students to sleep.

After collecting our suitcases, we went to the airport of Eindhoven main entrance where there were some students waiting for us. We were all daring to get to our new school for the following days. The main impression was incredible! Our students couldn't believe that a high school was so big, with so much light, a huge polyvalent area with a big stage, and a lake surrounding the school.

Our Dutch brothers and sisters were waiting for us and gave us a warm welcome, took our suitcases and we went to class!

We had our music and Dutch lessons. The music class was amazing! All our students learnt how to play the piano and the guitar with real instruments for everybody. We sang a lot of songs and it was such a funny class.
The Dutch class was a bit, I would say, different... Oh, my God! What a pronunciation! That was a hard challenge for all of us.

At 16:00 most parents came to school to collect our students and took them and their suitcases home. In general, they are all at home, having dinner, talking to their Dutch partners and families, listening to music, a walk to the city centre, or, some of them stayet home to play console games!

About the food, the teachers had the typical soup called 'Erwtensoep', soup of  and smoked sausages.
Most of our students ate pizza, pasta, lasagna, salmon, etc.

The sentence of the day: 'So many bicycles!'
